Default garage queen or mega mile rebuild?

I've been looking for a low mileage, unmolested, & stock 930. During my searches I've run across a couple of "picture perfect" high mileagers. Many of them appear to look good and are "fully restored" ...according to the person selling it. I know get a proper PPI, yada, yada, yada. - but how many miles are on your 930?

I would go with a higher mileage car that is taken care of before I'd go low mileage.. low mileage cars can need work to be driven .. dry rot and all on the hoses etc. mine has had issues.. from sitting so long/

95,000 on my '87 when purchased. Show room condition, no leaks, not an oil burner. I don't have enough history to say that it's ever been rebuilt, but if not then it was well cared for by previous owners. I've put about 10,000 additional miles on it with zero issues.

My car had about 36 K when I bought it. But it had been DRIVEN every weekend to the golf course and back.

The key is not mileage, but whether the car has been sitting and neglected.

A low mileage car that is driven is completely fine and the best of both worlds. I would never buy a high mileage 930 over a low mileage weekend car.

55K and two rebuilds. The first rebuild was because the PO blew it up, probably running too much boost without enough fuel at the track. The second rebuild was done by me because it leaked like a stuck pig from a crappy rebuild and I wanted more hp.
