Default Zork Tube

Anybody running one on there stret car?
Also has anyone had trouble with getting pulled over because of the noise?
Out of curiosity has anyone done a before and after dyno to see if the zork tube made any difference hp wise

I just put one on my car. I am going to go back to GHL muffler. It is too LOAD. I love the sound by just to much. My buddy is a cop and I drove by him. He said I am going to get pulled over for sure.

I just drove my car w/ one for the 1st time today. It is not bad.... as long as you keept he RPMs down when you need to be quiet.

Just go up 1 gear when you pass the LAW and it will be OK in my opinion. Now if you drive by in your already flashy 930, and have those revs up just waitin' to crack it open and come on boost....well then expect to be stopped. I upshifted today and passed a parked patrol car and even though he was parked near/under an overpass I was not noticed.

He said I am going to get pulled over for sure.

JBrown ,

you get pulled over all the time anyway.. maybe it's just you! PM me.

Mine sets off alarms on parked cars... As far as getting pulled over, it's best not to have everything 'in order', missing inspection stickers, front plates and loud pipes are non-moving violations and are a nice red herring when the officer "has to give you a ticket for something." I'll take the missing plate or the noise ordinance violation any day.

I am going to sell mine if anyone is interested. I have the fabspeed. It cost me $250 + shipping and I had a bung hole welded in the pipe, another $30. I will sell it for 200.00 shipped if someone is interested. I had it on the car for about 20 miles.

I would purschase yours JBrown but I am running a garrett turbo with a six bolt flange so it would not be a direct fit. Mine is mostly made except for some minor mods for fitment issues. I will post it when finished. Since I work for an aftermarket deisel catalytic converter manufacturer, I might put a baffle or two in it to quite it down a bit

Yes they are loud.
How loud is in the ear of the beholder. If you like Harleys then it's just right.
Noise ordinances are a local thing, depends on where you live as to how strict they are.
The Zork or free flowing muffler will typically add 15hp over a stockish muffler. That figure of course depens upon many things.

That was my thoughts, I have been to many of club races with highly modified 930's running zork tubes, and I do not think they are near as loud as a harley or a honda with a giant fart pipe.

early85944, yours is a cab like mine. You should take a ride in one with a zork tube. It is very loud in a cab. I am all for a great sound but it was alittle too much for me. In my car it was just as loud as a straight pipe harley.

Will do and while I am modifying it to fit right I might install a baffle plate or two to cut down on the noise a little

[QUOTE=RarlyL8;4754215] If you like Harleys then it's just right. QUOTE]

Zork & WG dump pipe like Rarly's is just plain sexy on a Turbo.. both the look & the sound!

Perfect for me as I've owned Harley's for years and have always run open drag pipes, sound is intoxicating and "Loud pipes save Lives!"

I will never run anything but my "zork" tube on my car. It is light, and with a v-band clamp, goes on in seconds. I know its a personal issue, but I really feel that the tube is not that loud at speed, and actually sounds wonderful. It might be a little harsh at idle...but I will live with it. I have also done so many damn mods to my car, that It is really a race car that happens to have a license plate....so a little louder exhaust is not really affecting me that much.... and the turbo whine...MMMMMMMMMMMM music to my ears.....
