I am guessing that I will be somewhere between 325 & 350 to the wheels in my car...I *think* that might be enough...
Does he have the dyno sheet that says that much????

Allegedly. I witnessed him put down 345whp BEFORE he sent the car away to have the boost turned up and have it tuned...His new numbers have been independently verified.

I am now wondering how much power I will have to put down to the wheels to keep up with him...again, I know that my car weighs about 500 pounds less than his...

PS-His motor is not tuned...

I'll be glad to run him if he wants to come to Raleigh.

How have I not seen your ride in Raleigh yet??? It must be down in SC since I am only in that area when I take a trip from the house in OIB.

Sounds like you have a beast of a car!! Hope to run into it in the near future... no worries though, I wont be trying to race you!

Cajun- nice car by the way- I think ours are twins- anyways- I do not think you will have to do much to take him. My wifes Z running 6psi is faster than my 930-exhaust only mod- but not by much. Her car was a claimed 420 but more like 400hp after tuning. IMHO you only need to shave 1 or 2 car lengths off your 0-60 time frame to capture a win. The Z runs out of breath approching triple digits but has a hell of a launch. Reading about your mods with a new clutch you may be close now.

We are having track time this Friday. I am bringing both cars my daughter in the Z and I am in the 930. We have three sessions so I am going to get a chance to drive both cars- I'll let you know what I think when it's over.

I have seen him run, this is him. Thats me in the NSX.

Shortly after this race I ran in between 31:1's and 13:2's at the track.

Also note that he did jump, wouldn't have changed too much but still.

I think a full blown CIS modded to its limits would get the job done. that looks like an 11 second Z if your running low 13's in the nsx

Hate to fuel the Z vs. 930 fire but I had a chance to put them on a track back to back. In short I was really impressed on how the car handled. It was much tighter feeling and it enables a less experienced driver to perform above their abilities. Expect to see overconfident drivers put their Zs in the weeds at your local backroad.

On the track. Short twisties the z and the 930 were even, downhill and off camber the 930 eats the Z alive. Hang on and put your foot in it and at the exit onto the straight I could carry so much more speed I could pass the second we hit the straight. Once in front the Z never recovers. It closes until 90mph then starts to slip back.

On the long decrease radius turn the Z is faster. Mostly I think because of the rear weight wants to step out on the 930.

In the end- I was faster when I drove each. Behind the wheel of the Z I managed to keep the 930 behind me but not by much. Behind the wheel of the 930 the Z would drop back 2 seconds a lap until it was a dot. If you have the ***** to drive the 930 with confidence that gravity and momentum will not win the Porsche will stay out in front. Even so I still was taken by the Z, it was easier to drive fast- I probably have less odds of cardiac arrest while driving it......

Thought I'd share- Mike

Thanks for the update...

NOW GO MOD THAT THING!!!

You would be surprised how well these cars take to mods. I think that with an IC, K27, and 1bar your car would have walked the Z much harder....

Glad you had a fun & safe weekend at the track.
