Default Knock Link

Has anyone installed the "Knock Link" product on their car to alert on engine
knock?

"The sensor is fitted between the Throttle Bracket and the Engine case at # 3 Cylinder. The Throttle arm has a leg that drops down over an 8.00mm stud. I do not know if this can be accessed thro the Fan housing area.
This is the only place we have found on these engines the Knock can be read accurately."

It is a very good product and works well. I have used it on the dyno several times. You need to choose where you attach it carefully. There are some locations better than others.

Where have you found it to work the best?

Through bolts! You want something that radiates the signal as close to the source as possible.

Another place is between the Throttle bracket and the case at the # 3 Cylinder. Shorten the bracket that drops thro the cover and sandwich it betwwen the case and the bracket. Kind of hard if the engine is complete, but it does pick up the noise. As Stephen suggests, the case thro bolts work well too.
