Default 1977 930 Price?

Need a price (or reality) check on the below car:

'77 930 Turbo Carerra (Red exterior on Black interior).
51k miles

100% original and complete, not restored. Paint a bit dull, as are the staggered Fuchs. All body components are in tact. Interior carpet needs restoration.

Hasn't been driven much, and you can tell because it needs a good detail and cleaning from sitting in the owner's garage for a long time. After 20 minutes of driving the car shuts off. Owner's mechanic said it was ignition related and it is being serviced as I write this note.

Asking price is $34k. I know this is way too much, wondering what it is really worth. I am thinking $18-$22K.

34K is insane. You can by a C2T for that. I would say mid to high teens.

i just bought a 79' with about the same miles for 21k in good shape. When I was looking I saw a very nice red 77' for $16900, but it had about 70k on it. That one sold pretty quickly though. So I would agree with 17-20k

I just paid $16k for a 1977 930 with 58k and rebuilt motor at 52k, it has some cosmetic issues where paint was buffed through but a very solid clean car with mint interior.

I guess the market is a bit soft at the moment, I would guess that an all original 77 with low miles like that would go for mid to high 20's right now. there were less then 1000 built and god knows how many are surviving today. that being said, I got mine seven years ago for 19,500.00 good repaint done in 86 by the previous owner, 58k miles on the clock, most records. overall good shape cosmetically. ran like a champ for two weeks till it dropped a valve on me. go figure.

I doubt much maintenance was done on the car over the years, which is why I think it needs to be an roughly a $20k car. Would hate to get her for $27k, drive it every weekend and have the turbo go, or a something of that nature which may cost $3k to fix.

Most I have seen in similar condition have sold for about $22k. That lime green '77 another 'lister just bought is likely nicer than this one I am eyeing, so that is my benchmark.

Yep. I have a 79 that needs a little paint work, fresh motor we built for 19. A stock 77 is not going to fetch much.

Stephen, do you have any pics of the 79? I suddenly feel like dusting off my paint gun and getting back in the booth.
