Well, I hate to start another Turbo thread, but I found something out .........
.....about my car.
With all the turbo threads going, I wanted to get more info on mine. I climbed under the car a few minutes ago and found out I don't have what I thought I had.
This is what I have :
The guy that sold me the car called it a K28 Cheater .... which was supposedly a hybrid turbo with the best characteristics of a K27 and a K29 ?
Obviously it's not a K28 but a K27 7200. I guess this is pretty much standard fare for these cars ?

Right, but the K27 7200 was pretty much the standard 'upgrade' for quite a while?
I am wondering with B&B headers, modified K&N intake, web regrinds, and a 1 bar spring in a Tial F40 wastegate if I can do better on the turbo?

The 7200 is a good turbo. There are better but for the money and every day driving, it's good. Unless you start upgrading engine parts, I wouldn't bother to get another one.

I may be selling the K27 7200 I bought sometime back because the guys putting my car together want to use a Garrett. I originally bought it to upgrade from stock....but now may not be using it.
