The HF2 is not a on the shelf turbo and is only built for EFI conversions or cars that already have it. Kevin builds them when we need them. Otherwise it is not like the HF or S that we have sitting on the shelf.

I think Yasin should chime in here sometime. He is a Turbo guy and from what I remember, he has played with turbos during his "Rice" days. Sorry Yasin, couldnt resist! BTW, I saw an amazing Skyline GT at a VA car show last month. Beautiful car.

I am like you. I drove my 930 once this summer. Yes, it is sad. Beyond my daily driver, I dont get the time. Being a entrepreneur and having just started a family, I do not have the luxury of time. The funny thing is, I am a car guy at heart. Have been since I started tearing down motors in Middle school. It has been a while since I seriously turned a wrench. I envy Yasin in many ways. Cut Finger and all!

Hi. I shall instal twin scroll GT3076R. Instead of water cooling I wish to submit oil.But I do not know, whence by it to be fed, that pressure of oil in system has not fallen. Also I do not know, whether it is possible to use oil for cooling or necessary water cooling?

Did you mean a twin turbo setup? They will almost never spool up!

As to the GT3076s they are too large for your engine size and compression (assuming twin turbo), unless your target is to run above 6K Rpms or 1.5 bar all the time.

You should check out the compressor maps of the GT28s or worse case a GT3071R?

I don't think he meant that. He was referring to a turbine side housing with a split (hence twin) scolls.

There's a guy called Norm who runs oil through the cooling ports of his turbo and it made a tremendous difference to the lifespan of his turbo as he races his car.

Do a search, you might find his post.

I run dual GT3071R's (the little brother to Jean's beast) and use oil cooling as well.

I use a restrictor for the lube line, and gravity drain back into the valve covers. Norm reinforced the notion of the restrictors.

Currently running unrestricted oil lines through the cooling ports, gravity draining back into the valve covers as well.

Will likely go the electric pump route to establish a completely separate oil cooling system for the turbos. It'll keep the extra heat out of the motor oil - without worrying about running the pump or crank dry.
