Smile Let's talk about those mods we love...

It can't always rain! There must be good with evil. Yin and Yang. So to offset my other, more negative thread, what mods have you done that you are most proud? Things that make you smile and plaster the "Oh face" for all to see.

For me it was the removal of useless parts! Gawd I hate clutter!
Gone and forgotten:
-All smog equipment (air pump, hoses, valves, etc.)
-Non working AC (sweaty ***** never hurt anyone)
-Rear wiper
-Hideous third-brake-light-cyclops-thingy (mine was featured in "War of the Worlds")
-Factory Air Box
-Factory exhaust/muffler system
-3LDZ turbo (we should start an artificial reef for these things)

...more to follow

-Brian Leask Adjustable WUR and RPM Solenoid
-Imagine Auto Fuel Head...never running out of gas while you tune your engine with the butt dyno=PRICELESS
-ARP headstuds and rod bolts: almost too pretty to use...ALMOST
-Tial wastegates: I wore mine on a gold chain around my neck for several weeks - A THING OF BEAUTY

The single most valuable modification probably was the Motec M48. However, the 6-speed can't be far behind the EFI and I am very happy with every single thing that was done "while in there" rebuilding the engine. Also, during the first round of modifications the K27-HFS made a massive difference with the B&B headers I got from IA compared to the car it had been until then.

I am also very happy to have the A/C and the Smog equipment out.

Good post Jeff. And you are funny guy!

My list would be extra boost from the TiAL, K27-7200 and letting the car breather with the B&B system. I agree on getting rid of all the emissions crapola.

Finding a machine shop and/or engine builder that truly understands every nook and cranny of these crazy engines is beyond priceless! There's a lot of coal out there, but we're fortunate in that we still have some diamonds to pick from...some of whom frequent these boards!

Getting 100 more horsepower from parts at Imagine was worth every penny: High Flow Turbo, B&B system, Tial Gate, Evolution BOV, and the device to move the over-boost switch!!!

For the track: Sparco Seats, BK harness trust with 6 pt harnesses, full suspension which was set up locally by AT Speed in MD was incredible. Only thing slowing the car was the driver

End of story!!

If only we could promote them here for all to see and know about. There is a difference and I have seen it for myself.
