84 911 Carerra turbo conversion.

That day I was running 14 psi of boost. My car is about 2700lbs. I am running a short bellhousing 930 trans.

I have been to the drag strip many times and the problem is getting off the line. you either smoke you clutch of bog out. This is only for the ones not running a g50.

I am not into building a drag 911 anymore, to much money wasted on clutch componets and etc. I will return again just to see if my new set up is up to it. I am looking for mid to low 11's @ high 130's. We will see

I have a drag video, but it sucks.

420rwhp, but if you look at my mph it is good for a Low 11 high 10 second pass. Its all in the 60 ft.

W/ my old set up (protomotive stage one) I had 360rwhp and ran 12.4 @ 117mph w/ a 1.9 60ft. That was w/ a stock 915 w/ stock clutch. After 3 runs the clutch would not hold anymore and second gear syncro was toast.

Is there any clutch set up that works on a 930 or 915 tranny? I understand that a stock clutch would not last, but are there modified cltuch kits that last about as long as a Vette or mustang clutch at the strip?

If not, than what is it about the Porsche clutch that makes it so weak?

I don't like the look of the way that dust cannot escape easily. Maybe I am wrong though. Dust between the fly and the clutch has to equal slip which means more dust and more slip.

Anyone know ?
