Not the Fabspeed, but the BMC air filter. As with all small filter, it takes up less room, but what do you do with the hose coming from the air oil seperator that went to the original housing? If you just put a small filter on it, I think it will eventually drip oil on your engine. I have mine going to another Moroso oil air seperator.
I think the Fabspeed has a fitting to attach the oil air seperator hose. I might try to see if I can tap the bottom of the tank to return like the factory one.

Thanks 930. I think Fabspeed IS the BMC unit.. this from their site - "Developed and sold exclusively by Fabspeed Motorsports. Manufactured under license by BMC Italy. " It certainly opens up the engine bay, and as my car is OEM A/C delete it will be that much more open.. hmmm, bigger IC!
Here is a picture of it and of the parts (next to an OEM unit.

I use the evo motorsports intake that Imagine Auto Sells. I probably wouldn't have bothered with one but for the fact that I was sick of having to remove my intercooler and air intake in order to remove and adjust my WUR.
You probably won't find a whole lot of improvement out of any of these things.

I made this one from an OEM that I bought on ebay for $45. It still has the oil return hose on the back side so I didn't run into the oil problem. I haven't noticed and difference in performance but there is a lot more room.

If you are asking about mine, no, it is not. A clamp holds it on.

Sorry for the confusion Rocket, I was referring to the little filter that looks like it might somehow be attached to the steel fuel pipes on the Fabspeed unit's pictures. Its suprising how fast a wire tie can vibrate a hole into a pipe like that. I hope its just the angle.

Maybe it was Eagle Day that has the provision for the oil air seperator hose. As far as HP gains? I'm sure there are none to be had. Either way, going with one really cleans up the engine compartment.

BMC Filter Kit
This is the BMC filter kit recently installed on a 1991 c2 turbo. I purchased it form Stephen Kasper at Imagine Auto. It comes with "all" of the filters needed for the stock headers, oil tank breather, and intake...
