Default Too many mods??

What kind of mods on a 930 are considered excessive that would prevent it from being used as a daily driver???

IMO:

-Excessively large turbo, resulting in significant lag.
-A CAM which is too aggressive for street.
-A clutch with an on/off type of engagement.

Well I figured you can never have too much HP or down force, but
just wanted to hear from some of the veterans any practical limits they have experienced.

When I say DD, I mean driving it less than 300 mi/mo non aggressively!

I dont think HP has that much to do with daily driver. Where you have to drive it would more determaine if it was a daily driver. If you live in a climate where there is no snow and the average temp is above 40-50f, I would drive it all the time. As long as I didnt have to drive into a city ever day and park on the street. Unless you are talking big HP with racing clutch and very loud exhaust.

Too agressive a suspension ie too stiff or too much camber.

Personally, I have a hard time seeing any 930 as a daily driver. You are talking about a car that is anywhere from 18 - 30 years old. You are going to face a fair amount of maintenance and repairs by driving it every day. I drive mine once or twice a week and that seems about right.

Jeff, you have a C2Turbo, you should feel comfortable driving that thing every day. You have A/C that actually works, power steering, proper coilovers with good valving. They finally got the 911 right with C2s which are such an improvement over the older cars.

I drove my 89 for awhile every day, I guess it depends on what you can put up with.

I drive my '89 Turbo Cab every day to work. Love it! Yes, it's raw, rough and uncivilised. Not too loud with the Magnaflow muffler, especially with a souped up HiFi system. I love it! It helps to have EFI, a nice aftermarket header system with a GT35R to aid in response too

I found that having too wide front wheels with a 930S steering wheel to be tough around town. No power steering makes it a chore on slow corners.

I drive it every day and it is loud but has a stock wheel and tire set-up but suspension mods. Why drive anything else?? It will putter around town but loves to RIIIIIIIP and that is a good thing.
The only problem I ever had was trying to bail out during the hurricanes and getting caught in traffic. Air cooled and monumental traffic jams do not mix.
The opportunity to compress time and space is wonderful.
