DP targa on ebay
I have no affiliation with this seller or car at all, but I know there are a few people on this board always looking for DP’s. This one is a Targa which they say is one of 2 for that year. I don’t know a thing about its authenticity but it’s an interesting looking car.

If you follow the links to the DP site and read the company history it says: Managing director and founder of the company is Dave Perry.
Even though the company is called DP Motorsport, it's based in England. Not the same company as DP Motorsport in Germany founded by E. Zimmerman, who designed and made the bodywork for Kremer, and started doing the street car conversions. To what capacity this company did the conversion, who knows. Were they a DP dealer/importer, or they just bought all the conversion pieces is hard to say. The DP cars cost over $100k (U.S.) when new.
This is not meant to take anything away from the car, cause it's a very cool car on it's own merit. The ultimate Targa in my opinion. One I would really like to have, but can't afford.
Good catch on the intercooler, stock with a sticker is right. I have a few pictures of DP intercoolers on my site.

If you read further down on the page it shows where I sent him the link for the correct DP website. He doesn't seem to know much about this car and left the currect links to the wrong DP on the page. I'm not really a fan of Targa's but that one looks pretty good.
Does anyone know where to get the rear bumper reflectors and license plate lights? The ones on my 79 DP need to be replaced. Thanks.

The seat bolster looks kinda worn for 24k miles.
Also, what is inside that widemouth bass front air dam? The mother of all oil coolers?
I kinda like it, but I wouldn't pay what he probably wants for it.

The only thing I don't like with this one is the targa bar is stock Porsche. On most DP targas, DP put their stamp on it, but this doesn't have it. That doesn't mean it isn't a DP though, I believe it to be the real deal even though the seller has no idea what he is selling.

I'd say it's the real deal... at least the body work seems like it (DP recess in back tail, rocker panel "indents", etc). And it's the same boost controller that I have in mine.
And mine's as wide as that one as well, even with a slightly different rear bumper.

I would love to see a genuine DP car at this year's Porsches2Oxford show in July. Consider that my shameless invitation. We are striving for 300+ vehicles this year.

The exhaust setup is exactly like my car. 1pipe 4inch I can`t make out the actual muffler. I have a ProtpTech 1 off -stainless with zero insulation Sounds like a worked 350 with a 3/4 cam when it starts(neigbors love it)
