Default Optima Battery in a 930

Guys -

I want to switch my 930 to an Optima battery. Two questions:

1. Anyone know which Optima battery is the best fit?;
2. I seem to recall that you need some kind of mounting/adapter kit for putting one in a 911 - anyone know where to source?

Thanks for any and all help....

As an aside: Ive just had the second optima battery falure on my sti. I wasbuying the smallest yellow top to save weight. For whatever reason they have only been surviving about 6 months in that car. This time I replaced it with a 39$ walmart spescial.

I had been using yellow tops for the race car. I killed mine too. Then a fellow on PP, who was an electrical engineer, explained that our "standard" alternators weren't 100% compatible with the yellow tops. I have switched to red tops....so far so good.

I really like my Oddyssey style batteries better in two other cars. Weight and discharge rate are incredible though some sacrifice to reserve from the Optima. Just 2 cents to ponder.

Just thought I'd add another option. I'm planning to run an Odyssey in mine when my ginormous block of a battery finally takes a dump! They are extremely light weight. The two most popular models are the 680 and 925. I've heard that because of their light weight, these batteries can actually affect your suspension/handling characteristics, so keep that in mind. I'm planning to run the 925...which is a tad heavier. Some good reading for you:

EDIT: I see that Luke has already mentioned this...

I looked at the Optima and Odyssey when it was time for a battery after my car's long stay in the garage. I couldn't find a good reason to spend the extra money on the Optima and I was worried about the Odyssey having enough capacity to handle the EFI and possible extra cranking if there was a problem. I decided to go with an Interstate.
