Default Please identify this muffler for me......

This pic was found while searching.......it is Chet930's motor, or at least WAS Chets motor, pre EFI upgrade !! Sorry for borrowing your photo Chet, but it is the only photo I have ever found of this mystery can.
I luckily came across the same muffler, slightly used, for next to nothing, but would love to have a name to go with the face, so to speak......

Thanks in Advance.

Mark

Mu B&B loks like that, but the mounting strap is closer to the turbo and it has a removable end that enlarges it from like 3'' to 4''.

You know.......I dont even know for sure what the muffler brand is! I bought it 5 years ago on ebay for less than a $100 and I was going to use it for a dummy to fab up something else. But when I got it, I looked it over pretty well and thought I would just clean it up and use it as is. The fabrication and workmanship was high quality and it was way better than it looked in the ebay picture. It came off of a track car somewhere in Florida if I remember right. It doesnt have any stamp or mark on it to identify itself, but I'm thinking from what I've seen that it might be an early Monty.

The intercooler is a Garretson unit.

Default The mystery continues........

I will tell myself it's a B & B for now.......but like you said, there are no identifying marks on it anywhere either.....
The welds are good quality, and it appears to be a nice piece, and from the looks of mine, has not seen a lot of use.
Anyway, for what I paid, it will be a good starter for the new turbo, IC and Tial WG.......and if I hate it, no big loss.....

Thanks Chet, and enjoy your new toy when she arrives......

Kinda looks like my Hooker muffler (except my version exits the other side).

It is a stock Euro exhaust. It is not a B&B.

I've got one that looks just like that, big 4" single out pipe. It is hollow inside and loud as hell. Does the muffler pictured above have baffling?

Stephen, I thought this was a stock euro exhaust. Made by Bischoff. Perhaps a later design...

The one pictured is from a later year car. The one on Chets is early early stuff.
