I just assumed Chet painted his
I did paint mine. However it was all polished when I got it but it was dull. I spent some time repolishing and it came back but still didnt look that great so I painted the whole thing.

Stephen, I dont think its a factory muffler. The way the pipe comes around to the opening in the valance doesnt seem like something Porsche put together.

Mine was polished as well. Painted the body black and left the 4" pipe polished.
The weld quality on the flange looked aftermarket and the inside is completely hollow. The inlet pipe after the flange is also larger in diameter than stock. I don't beleive mine is stock Porsche, don't know what it is, but it physically looks identical to the one pictured.

Speaking of B&B, here's a video of Billy Boat at SEMA- seems he's really expanded his range of products.

Has Billy expanded his customer service yet?

That's one thing about GHL that I'll always appreciate. Brian (the owner) is an outstanding person.

My muffler tailpipe combo is just like that--4 inch stainless steel. Made by ProtoTech in Ft. Lauderdale for my car during a rebuild. There is no filler in the muffler what so ever.

I found him to be technically very proficient, but I was surprised at his lack of automotive knowledge. They seem to be a "tell me what you want and I'll do it" type outfit that does'nt bring much innovation to the table. I'm not knocking them, and we may have been talking to two different people, but that's the vibe I got.

And FWIW, I asked them to change my headers to non-heat and they obliged with no (barely any) questions asked- very nice people.

That is not an "early" Euro. The early Euro was single outlet and did not have a round bottom.

I wasn't contradicting you Steven, you can write what I know about 930's on the back of a stamp. The pic is of my 87 engine before going back in, I should have read the rest of the thread as you'd already answered

If I was offended by that then I would have to be the most miserable SOB you'd ever met, you don't think that do you? Come on now keep apologising, you’re in the wrong!!
I’m going to come on here every time I fall out with "her indoors", this is great

Like I said Steven, if I’d have bothered to read on I would have realised you'd already answered the question.
I looked at a 77 euro 930 before I bought mine, I flew up to Newcastle from London and got on the same plane back, it was an import from Oz which had apparently been extensively rebuilt, the whole underside of the engine was wet with oil and parts of the dash were fixed with wood screws, I **** you not! Suffice to say I didn't pay much attention to the style of the muffler
