It is a good idea! Mine just sits in there too. It is a pain in the *** to try to get a allen in there when the engine is hot and you only have 1 minute until the grid closes...

It is a good idea - I'm just giving Jimbo a hard time!

He just hates when I have good ideas.

Unfortunately, there are not many...

Sounds like a good idea to me to.

Is each 'click' as you turn a significant one? in other words, should you turn it one notch and then test.. and so on and so on.

Hey Mark,

Let me know where you get your dyno test done (if you do it) and the cost. I've been thinking of getting my car done too..........just to get a baseline on the engine.

I've been looking at the LM-1 too. On an unrelated note I added keyless entry to my car this past weekend. Took about 2 hours from start to finish and cost me $50.00 Cool little project.

Kirk,
I have all of the stuff to put mine in but haven't got to it yet. Where did you cut into the door lock wires? I was thinking about behind the center console. Appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks

Kirk,

I thought of doing keyless... just haven't devoted any time to it...

I'll certainly let you know if I do get it dyno'd... I'm leaning more towards the lM-1 right now with the RPM add on.. you can download all that to you PC and even view it realtime if you have your laptop on the passenger seat (not the safest way to do it). There is a place in the north etobicoke area that you rent dyno time.. and tune the car yourself.. I may do that in conjunction to the LM-1. With the phenomenal assistance of the folks on this board, these car's aren't to difficult to figure out.

BTW, I'm in the process of buying CIS fuel pressure gauges (if you ever need some).

I thought 500CDN seemed a little bit much right now, so I may wait a little bit.. want to go halfsies with me? makes the pain that much smaller!

Rudy, check out this link........had all the info I needed to install. No need to cut ANY wiring.

Mark, I work in Etobicoke (actually right near the Chapters) and would love to see the car on the dyno.

Kirk,

What unit did you buy, and did you buy it locally?

I'm almost embarassed to say! ProStart CT-3300 from..............ah, umm, well........Canadian Tire.

http://www.autostart.ca/prostart/prod-en_CT-3300.php

http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/pr...=1167938541751

On sale for $49.99. I only wired up the keyless entry. I have no interest in the remote start or any other functions. Works great, no wiring cuts, and I could remove the whole system in about 10 minutes if I had to.

Talking

lol. What... you couldn't find a 'Porsche' kit to do the job?

Did you hook up the lights via the diode method as well, or opted only for the doorlock mechanism with no 'visible' alert of the locking/unlocking of the car?

I got my car drivable by tuning it on the street, but you really need to put it on a loading dyno, with the tearm 'loading' being key. Look for a shop with a Dyna-pack, or Mustang Dyno. They can hold the car at any given RPM and increase the load and adjust the tune accordingly. It made a world of difference for me.

bluecamaro,

What did you use to tune it though?
