Not worth the money in my opinion. It probably diverts a little more air into the fender cooler but if you have a serious cooling issue it won't make a difference.

I don't know... Every little bit helps, but $94?

Automotion is proud of their stuff. You could probably find it cheaper somewhere else.

I live in South Australia. Like some parts of the U.S. we get very hot summers and mild winters. Summer here in Adelaide can get to 46C, not that I'd be driving the 930 in that heat but most of time it's around 30-38C, so I'd like to get as much flow over that cooler as possible.
I'd also like to put a little therom-fan behind the cooler and make it switch on automatically. Anyone have any ideas about how to and where to wire a thermo-switch in.

What kind of cooler do you have now? Mine is set up with a thermostat at the top that switches on a factory fan. Pelican or Eliphant Rqcing have the t-stats. You'll need a relay as well.

You can get a factory fan for about $300 or so, but I'd get a small one from someone like Summit Racing for a lot less. You can wire it with a manual switch or get it wired to a thermostat.

Thanks Rocket,

Mine is just the factory cooler but as you'd already know idling in traffic on a warm day is not good.

Summit sells a small fan with or without a thermo. All you do is wire it up with a fuse and you are ready to go. I read where the factory thermo is set pretty high so a lower set thermo might help.

Is there a provision in the cooler for a thermo switch or do you have to fit it somewhere else

If you have the radiator type oil cooler, there should be a fitting if not a t-stat at the top facing the front. Someone sells a lower temp t-stat. Pelican or Elephant?

If the heat is really an issue, you might want to add another oil cooler in the left side fender wheel well. You can have hoses made to add it in series. Elephant has them (& the lowest price I found) and the adapters.

BTW. Any speedshop should have the Aeroquip or similar hoses and fitting to you can make your own hoses to fit. The fitting will be trial and error to get the best angles, etc.

I made my own..... You can see it in my avatar next to the right fog light. Cost ....free. Result.....cut out in front valance that may not suit some folks..........however, about 15 degree drop in oil temp. I can always replace the front valance (or repair it) since they are cheap and plentiful. I cut mine out to make it look like it was a factory deal (sort of like my 05 E55). I still need to put the mesh grill over it (behind it actually).
