Default Interior Leather Care

Hey guys & gals,

I was wondering what you think the best leather care product is for our cars. I put Meguires on my interior a couple of weeks ago, and I am not pleased. It left my seats looking dull.

FYI....I have black interior in excellent condition.

I use Lexol. The key is to use it sparingly. Two spray pumps on the towel, and then wipe down a whole seat.

I have used Auto Glym for years on all my cars with leather. When I got my 930 the seats were dull but in great condition. After a liberal application of Auto Glym and left overnight to penetrate, simply buff off in the morning and you'll be amazed. I usually do it every 3mths. They feel different and sound different when you sit in them. I use it on my leather lounge suite to.

Matrix, hows the car going mate. I get it from a mob here in Adelaide called crash supplies. It about $50 for 320mls but it works great. Auto Glym also make an excellent polish to, Super Resin it's called. It's about $80 for 750mls. My nephew is a beater and painter for a BMW repairer and they use it.

Connelly's Hide Care/Food for leather, longest lasting, and has the most UV inhibitors, and not to shiny,

I used that on my Jag for years until I started using the Auto Glym. I guess it's just preference. I found that if I done one seat with the Glym and the other withh Connelly the Glym felt softer and smelt better too.

Another option is a product called Liquid Leather, the people in PCGB that's the Great Britain Porsche Club swear by it, better than autoglym, not sure how it compares to USA products though.

I use this on my black plastic- I did'nt know it worked on leather too. So you clean and then protect with 303, or clean with it?

I just spray it on a soft cloth and wipe it all down. I use it on the outside stuff, too.

I tried most every product and found SOFFENER-Quick Formula to work better than anything by far.

It is made by Color Plus and works on Surflex Colored seats. I had a set of rock hard leather seats in my 89S2 and I applied it to them and found after a few applications they started to become more flexible and supple feeling. It also works as a great hand softener. No affiliation their phone number is 570-686-3158. they can direct you where to purchase it.

Hands down the best stuff for your leather.
