Default COLDER SPARK PLUGS

Is it okay to use a colder plug. I am led to believe that whilst they don't last as long they are better for turbo engines with boost upgrades etc. Thoughts?

The stock plug is a W3DPO and is already a cold plug. On the EFI conversions, I run a hotter plug than stock.

Is it okay to use the next one down. It's coming up to summer here and we reguarly see temps in the mid 40's ( 115? ), not that I drive the car in those sorts of conditions.
