Default Smoking during downshift (not from tail pipe)

I went driving with local porsche group today.
It was fun getting out in the back road and cruising with fellow porsche guys.
I thought my car drove great, oil pressure and temperture was normal. Throttle response was good and engine sounded okay.
When we stop for gas, one of the guy that was behind me, told me that he saw puff of smoke coming out of driver side when I was backing off the throttle or down shifting, and it wasn't coming from the muffler. So, when I came home I went under the car and found some oil leaks.
Here are the pictures, what do you guys think?

Really doesn't look that bad, but if its dripping oil onto something hot enough to make it smoke I'd get them fixed before there's more than just smoke back there.

Puff of smoke. Just when decellerating mostly from passenger side close to oil cooler.
Concerned that it might be loosening of head stud and I am thinking about upgrading turbo.
Hate to see my heads fall off.

I wish my leaked only that much not bad I think. As far as head stud you should hear a head stud if it was broke or loose there should be some poping on deceleration or under boost,

You guys are leaky bunch.

I am going to check head studs anyways just to me sure.
If they are broke, guess it's time for rebuild.

There are a lot of things that could cause a leak like that, and it's not possible to diagnose from pictures. But what I notice is that your oil return tube, which appears to be a replacement telescoping type, looks wet on one half and dry on the other. Could it be leaking at the internal o-ring that seals the two halves of the tube? A leak at an oil return tube is common and very easy to fix. That wouldn't explain, though, how the oil got onto the heads and cylinders, which are above the oil return tubes. But it's worth ruling out the easy stuff first.

It's easy to check for headstuds by removing the valve covers, so you might get yourself prepared to to that. If you find one broken, then that's obviously a problem. But you might put a torque wrench on each bolt to make sure you haven't lost torque at any of them. Other prominent possibilities include the breather cover and hose connection to the breather cover, thermostat o-ring, and oil pressure sending unit on the front of the engine, where the turbo oil feed line attaches. To check out these items, you'll have to pull the air box -- at least -- and maybe use a mirror and light. Though it doesn't look like the leak you have is outboard that far, the head-to-cambox sealing surface is a culprit sometimes. And there are many others as well...

Rob s,

Thank you very much for your thoughtful response.
I have made an appt with John Walker, but I might check my head stud before that, we'll see.
