I get crap from everyone to get my car running, especially everyone at work that I crack the whip on to get their projects done. I've got some mental disorder that causes me to take on many projects at once. My other project is a kitchen remodel that includes removing the load bearing wall down the middle of the house. My wife is pushing me to stay on the house project, so guess what gets my attention. Lately I've only been able to work on the 930 when I'm waiting for joint compound, paint, stain, or polyurethane to dry. Of course I have to dedicate some time to watching football and racing, drinking beer, surfing Porsche forums, and generally not doing much. I don't mind waiting to finish until fall since my garage is air conditioned and my car isn't.

Just make sure you aren't using any of that 20 minute mud or fast drying urethane to give you more time.....

You know me, I like to take things nice and slow. Actually I'm using Enduro water based poly for the cabinets. It's pretty neat stuff. It dries for the next coat in 20 minutes. The only problem is since it's water based, it has to be sanded between every coat. The mud on the other hand seems to take forever to dry. Time to texture the ceiling.

Use the durabond lightweight 45 or 90 for the first coats on the drywall, the top coats are more difficult to sand (especially if you've laid it on heavy.) I use the lightweight for the top coats, nice to sand also. Mix the durabond only what you can use in 40-50 minutes. This can get you second coated (or even third coated in hot dry climate) and ready for sand in just a couple days.
