Hi everyone. I was just refered to this thread by sand_man. He is having some difficulty tuning his mixture and determining his AFRs. His car seems to be running at both extremes; super lean at idle and cruise, and super rich under acceleration. I've been trying to help him determine if there's a problem with his WUR or his O2 sensor and its location. At this point, I am questioning his O2 sensor location as it seems to be giving false readings. Once he gets this problem fixed, we will go from there.

Normally, it is not a requirement for a customer to provide me with control pressures before modifying their WUR. I baseline every WUR that comes to me before I rebuild and modify it. After the WUR has been modified, I can then set it back to the baseline settings, back to factory Porsche specifications, or to custom settings based upon engine modifications. Of course, the AFRs will need to be verified once the customer installs the unit and the control pressures may need some fine tuning to achieve the exact AFRs desired.

Thanks for posting my website link, sand_man. I just created it and will be updating it in the days to come. I better get to work!

Thanks,

Brian Leask

Going back to the beginning of the thread -- Yes, the port that has been plugged on the IA fuel distributor is where the frequency valve used to connect. Leave it plugged as you won't be using the frequency valve anymore.
