Default How about a HP guess on my new 930?

Hey guys, I'm new to the board. Just bought an '88 that's been modified. I'm curious on the possible horsepower and torque. Anyone have around the same setup? I'll schedule a dyno session at some point but I'm hard up to hear what you think. Here's what I know:

B&B headers
B&B dual exhaust w/ what must be 4" single tips
Removed cat
K-27 Highflow
Andial fuel enrichment system (Haven't really messed with it, has stayed at 0.8 bar)

The thing pulls hard as hell and boost starts coming on at about 3K. The catless system failed emissions so am going to have to register at my parents probably. Only one year left of pre-OBDII testing in St. Louis thankfully. This is going to be one fun weekend car.

You don't say how much boooost you are running?

If your engine is healthy and tight...I figure 330whp is about right at 1bar with the stock awful IC

Thanks, 911T and Yasin. I've kept it at 0.8 bar for boost right now. This weekend I'm going to try turning the boost control **** up and see what I can hit. There are about 4 notches for the **** they installed in the center console by the A/C controls. I'm not going to try over 1 bar if I even hit that with the first couple notches.

Still have the stock IC. I like the sound of the Andial one though. Possibly in the not so distant future will be looking for something.

If you talking about the Andial ****, it only adjusts the fuel enrichment. Once it's set, (on a dyno) it should really need adjusting.

Do you have the stock intercooler? If so, you probably should leave the boost alone. With a Koklen or similar you can safely go to 1 bar on the street.

Thanks, Olli and David. If the **** is just for the Andial fuel enrichment system, I'll be staying at 0.8 bar then. I would like to not blow it up just yet.

Stock intercooler for now. I hear the Andial and Kokeln are nice but seem a little pricy. When I get a new intercooler at some time, I'll try a 1 bar spring. I can't imagine it being even faster but I guess we all have that need for speed.

Thanks,
BobbyB

Keep you're eye out for an intercooler here or on Pelican or better yet post a WTB ad asking for one. Many folks are going for full bay intercoolers so some that fit the stock location are coming up for sale.

Yeah, Mike, that sure was me. I was dropping it off at Reid Vann on Manchester to get an inspection, a/c recharge, and look at a slight oil seep from one of the lines.

What were you driving? What color is your 930? I saw another one this morning, kind of a burgundy type color or something. It was somewhere in south city by Jamison or Hampton.

I'm usually motoring to work in an estoril blue '99 M3.

Beautiful car! The numbers being thrown out are probably a very accurate range to expect from your current set up. Definitely toss the stock IC. We're getting over 500hp out of cars with the standard fit B&B units, so we know they have good flow charateristics. We've had great success with the 930s so if you have any questions just give me a call. Or if you make it to KC, swing by the shop, we'll show you around. Have about 10 930/965s (plus some other stuff) here right now that are fun to look at. Even if you do nothing else, enjoy it!

My parents and brother live in KCMO, not too far from State Line, just off 435 so it's pretty close to where you guys are. I'll definitely be out there sometime this summer. Maybe I'll get her out there for some dyno time, if anything. I'd love to see some other 930s too.
