Question pics and dimensions of slant nose linkage

Does anyone have any close up pictures of the slant nose linkage and possibly dimensions. like where to drill the 30 mm holes in the body tub and where the linkage brackets get welded, etc. I have a complete set of 944 linkage and light buckets. they very similar to the slant nose parts but there are differences. I have copies of the pet pages and the b&w pictures from 930s.com but there is not enough detail to get every thing correct.I looked and one in a showroome here in miami but they wouldnt let me do any more than look under the carpet in the front and in the wheel wells. which actually surprised me that once they found out i didnt want to buy the car they still let me look.

Many aftermarket slant nose used Mazda RX7 light assemblies so there may be some answers from people who don't have the cross over bar. The RX7 units are stand alone and often times required some hammering on the driver’s side inner body in order to fit the "pop-up" motor properly.

If you're unable to get proper information for the 944 set up it might be the way to go.

well i have the set of mazda lights and linkages. but I wanted to set it up with the cross bar and round headlight buckets like the factory. the mazda set up was missing a few parts any ways and since I was going to end up fabbing parts I figured that I might as well do it right. so got a complete set of 944 linkage motor wiring lights and buckets. but need mesurements to cut the shafts on the buckets and also to drill the holes correctly. the buckets are very similar and will not require much modification the cross bar is different but easy to reproduce, just need dimensions

That makes sense.

Out of curiosity what year RX7 headlamps do you have? The conversions I’ve seen used the early 79-85 round lamps.

I have the one with the square lamps,
and motors now are $500 a piece, yet a complete set of 944 linkage including the motor and lights and light buckets was $150. so it doesnt even make sense any more to use the mazda system.

There are parts missing from the mazda system also, some of the bushings for the pivots, the one of the end mounts, one of the lights is broken, and still have no idea if the motors even work. and from what I understad the mazda systems lights would bounce up when going down the road with them retracted, and I have seen way too many pictures of slant nose turbos with only one light partially up.

Yes i have seen all those pages but what I need are actual dimensions, like the length of the ceter bar in the light bucket. how it penetrated the body tub and Ezactly where to drill the hole. etc. some close up pics of the linkage with the covers removed would also be a big help
