It should live at 1.1 bar if properly tuned - timing, fuel. In fact, if its not properly tuned, .5 bar will grenade your motor as fast as 1.1 bar. Having gone through two engines that look similar to the above pic, I have a good understanding of the problem. This time when I tuned the rebuilt motor, I included the EGT temps to ensure the AFR's and timing were correct.

Why not? The stock timing on the car is good, and possibly a bit agressive on top. Most likely, you have stock compression ratio - low. However, if you have plenty of fuel (adjust the WUR), you can keep a rich AFR and keep heat in check. At that boost, you will also need to chose your plugs intelligently too (no extended tip and cooler heat range).

" Install engine on test stand and connect to dynometer. Run and break in engine. Adjust timing and fuel mixture" in the amount of $1,295.00.

At the risk of highjacking my own thread....
1.1 bar on Snowboarder's car: it more than likely did not have the IA fuel head. Not sure what the CR was.
Even with street use - probably pretty aggressive use at that - IMO 1.1 bar is pretty ridiculous. 1.1 bar on a CIS track car is just plain stupid and virtually unattainable without destruction.
----------------
I intend to use either .8 or .9 bar MAX with the 7.5 pistons (were 8.0, ready for EFI), taking baby steps and working towards low 12 AFRs in conjunction with gradual timing increases on the dyno --- all the while while under the watchful eye of a local wrench and ex-935 Bayside mechanic.

You can take a screenshot of the PDF file.
You can also past the PDF page images into a blank JPG in a photo editing program such as paintshop or photoshop...
I'll do it if you want...
send it to my email address...

I've posted pdf's on this site before just like pics. The advanced posting screen allows the file type as an attachment and should display it for members just like any pic.

Bingo. Looks like #6 is pretty unhealthy - Stepehn is sending me a new one with the Tial (which by the way will ahve .7, .8, .9 bar springs)

Remember, the fuel head will not do anything without modifying the WUR - the WUR regulates the amount of fuel going into the cylinders (via the fuel head). You probably already knew this.

This is not correct. The WUR can be modified if one is still higher than need. On average the head drops 1 AFR point as compared to not having it. If you need more and your AFRs are too rich at idle, then you can mod the WUR.
