Spraying intercooler with water like new cars

RSRS - I thought it might have been a New Orleans/Katrina thing! ;-) Seriosly, its a nice piece of kit. Did you do all of that conversion work yourself? Back when I was still young and working for Alex Job Racing we took in a Dave Klym/Tom Hessert mid-engined 911 we ran in IMSA GT for two years. It was powder or Gulf blue with all kinds of various colored ovals on it. We nick-named it the "Good and Plenty Car" because of those "dots." We had Charles Slater, Tom Hessert and Hurley Haywood driving for us our premier year. THe next year Porsche brought out the GT-1 so Hurley was gone and then Tom decided he wasn't having quite as much fun as his checkbook was indicating he should be having so the last I heard the car was up at his Cherry Hills, NJ auto dealership. But I haven't seen or heard of it in years. I'll try to find a picture of us running it at night in the 24 Hours of Daytona. To quote Phil Hartmann, "Good Times!"

srf506,
The ovals are no longer on the car. Last I heard, it was in IL and owned by Sol Snyderman (sp?) at Perfect Power. I first saw it at Putnam Park a few years ago. Someone on Pelican has pics of it at Road America from a few weeks ago.

Thanks for the update Greg A. VZ935's car just reminded me a lot of that old thing and jarred the memory banks. Must be that duct on the roof. Didn't mean to hijack the thread from anyone. His car is beautiful.

Thanks...we are still trying to get it to "run" properly. Still has issues with cutting back spark once under boost. And we have the right plugs, new plug wires, cap, rotor, condenser, etc. etc. Should find out today what progress has been made. Frustrating as this should be blistering fast...devil is always in the details!
Best,
