Default engine dyno vs rear wheel dyno (break in)

I would just like to know which dyno to use for my rebuilt engine.
I'm running new upgrades and a tec2 with EFI and just want the engine to be broken in the best way.
Thanks
Mark

As long as the dyno has the ability to apply a load on the engine and steady state tune, you can use the dyno (engine or chassis) to break the engine in. Be very careful with the TEC 2, it really isn't sufficient to run a 930 engine with any degree of safety and reliability.

Geoffrey what problems do I need to look out for with the tec2. I know its an old system it was in the car when I bought it which the motor was blown from no oil in the cam housing destroying the rockers.
Thanks

The TEC 2 has only an 8x8 table for ignition timing and fuel. This is not enough resolution to properly run the engine under all conditions. Also, depending on your firmware version, it may not do air temp compensation which is necessary to keep the AFRs stable under all conditions.
