Default Short to longneck adapter

My dilemma.
I currently run an andial longneck intercooler on my turbo but have recently aquired a fullbay "short neck" intercooler at a great deal. Does anybody know of an adapter that would allow use of the new intercooler ((intercooler to throttlebody), or will I have to have the neck modified to make up for the difference. If the neck requires modification, can anone reccomend a good fab shop in the Nevada/California area.

Thanks much,

JP

You could always contact Samco I forget how the longneck's are, but is it approximately a 90 degree bend that you need on the TB side, or is it more complicated than this? I'm using Carrera manifolds, which are of course different, so forgive me if I'm wrong. Samco has a wide range of couplers, so I'm sure you could find one with the right bends to at least get you much closer. So is the fitment problem with the IC to TB side, or the compressor outlet to IC side? If it's the compressor side, because of the short neck, you should be able to find a long straight coupler to make up for this difference in neck sizes.

It apears to me that the adapter would be a straight piece the width of the old BPV assembly. It would slip over the oring at the intercooler outlet and over the oring at the throttle body ( I think)

I'm not 100% certain but I think that they do not line up 100% and also the throttle body is a larger diamater than the short IC outlet.

The ic outlet is offset to the right of the throttle body about a half inch or so

I was afraid of that.

Stephen is this a modification that you could perform? I will be sending you my fuel head and it would be ideal if the modifications could be performed at the same time.

Thanks,

JP

Diabolos,
Unfortunately it is on the car at the moment. It looks just like the one you have been trying to sell with the exception that it is fully polished. It was on the car when purchased and incorporates a c2 type bypass valve and related assembly. The factory bypass valve assembly has been removed.

I see, so I was under the assumption that the Andial Ic was a shortneck?
can you post a pic of the IC in the car? Id like to see what the bypass looks like with the Andial installed.

Diabolos,
I will snap a couple of pics tomorrow and post.

Stephen,
The Andial Longneck was installed when I bought the car and I do not have the original pop off assembly. I can send you the Fullbay shortneck intercooler if that will help.

I'd like to get the C2 style bypass done as well, looking forward to seeing your setup
