Fuse kit and DIY brakes
I have a 1979 930 and would like to have a back up set of fuses for my tool kit. Does someone sell a complete kit or do I need to make it up myself? Any suggestions on best source for either route. On another note I want to be able to bleed my brakes and replace pads at track events. Would like some recommendtions on bleeders and source for a simple "how to" on doing it right. I know the calipers on this car are a bit different than other 911's.

I don't know of a fuse kit, but it should be pretty easy to put something together. Is this for just in case or are you blowing fuses?
I recommend the Motive power bleeder. The best brake tool for the DIY'r there is!!! I always bleed from the caliper furthest from the master cylinder and work my way closer.
Wilwood has some good info on their site for bedding in pads. The pads are easy to change on the 79 930, once the wheels are off you just need some channel lock or similar pliers to squeeze and lift the spring on to of the calipers and change the pads.

I just bought a set of Speedbleeders due to rave reviews on both the MR2 site (I own a Turbo) and on FerrariChat. They allows you to bleed your brakes by yourself. I also ordered the thread sealant from them as well.
If they get here in time I'll be installing the clutch bleeder by this weekend and I'll let you know how I like them. I’ve used the MitiVac pump and hate it! I was never able to get all of the air out of my lines with it. I always had to resort to the two person drill.

Thanks for the info
Will chaeck out the fuse availability. My concern is to have fuel pump fuse/relay for emergencies wtc so I dont get stuck. Leaning towards the Motive bleeder. Seems like a reasonable price for the best working unit.
