Having a weee problem with my car gents, and wonder if anyone can help....I have an '89 930 that runs wonderfully, excellent power all through the rpm band and very smooth....this is my problem:

1) Once warm the car has a rough at idle almost like it has a radical cam in it, chugga...chugga...chugga....before it would purr like a kitten, I did the glass of water on the intercooler test and trust me it shakes!

The plugs are perfect (gapped at 24 thou), excellent color, car has really great power and smooth through the entire rpm band as stated.

Checked all hoses for leaks and everything seems fine my idle is pefect and solid at 950rpm (cold and hot)....any ideas gang?

Maybe a tad too rich on the CO%? Are you CIS fuel pressures within spec when warm?

 

you mentioned your plugs were ok but what about the cap and rotor??

 

Cap and rotor are brand new.

I have not checked the CO or fuel pressures as yet.
