Default Electromotive tec I baseline program needed

Hi,

I am looking for a baseline program for an electromotive tec 1. I want to get my car up and running so I can take it over and get it tuned. What to do minor tuning insead of major tuning.

Thanks

Be very careful with the TEC 1 unit. The unit does not have an air temp correction capability, so when you are tuning it on the dyno you will experience intake air temps as much as 30 degrees C higher than you will when driving it. This represents almost 10% difference in fueling and if not factored in, you will run lean on the road. Additionally, with the 8x8 table size, ignition timing is very important to get correct. I have seen too many 911 Turbos with melted pistons and detonation due to the limited capability of the TEC 1.

When Stephen had Monster, I believe he had to run it so rich it always smelled like fuel just to be on the safe side, and I think he road tuned the car so the IATs were consistent. It certainly was a compromize at the time.

Interesting. What do you think of the tec 2. How did CIS compensate for temp.

Ironicly, I have the exhaust/turbo setup from monster. That is going on my street car that has a tec 3 though.

The Tec 2 is equally as bad as the Tec 1, but will only control one coil board so you can only do single plug with it.

CIS did not compensate for air temp which is why some guys here adjust the "CO" from summer to winter.
