pops and bangs on over run (930 1981 euro)
Got the new muffler fitted and it sounds fantastic but maybe a little on the loud side. My main worry is the amount of popping on over run is this normal or is some thing wrong ? It did the same on the old exhaust but was a quieter, I am also running my waste gate unsilenced could it be this ?

Mine pops a lot on deceleration when I have my gutted muffler on the car. I think it's normal, although some would say it might be lean.
Your staight pipe off the W/G is just going to be a loud whoosh sound under acceleration. No popping sounds out of it.
If it seems loud now, wait until you get used to it and move to a straight pipe.
