Default Who is wanting to build a muffler?

Hey gang,
There has been enough hype about the muffler thread that two of my customers have requested that I build them a magaflow system for their 930. So here is my question to you...Would you guys want me to build a muffler for any of you?

If I got enough people interested I would go ahead and build some jigs so we could make them quickly. This is in alterative to me building one at a time the old fashion way.

So who would be in. I am charging the customers I have currently 595.00 Thoughts?? Suggestions?

Sure why not. Something that will allow the alignment to be painless and the install not to require a pry bar to install

ok on the muffler idea yes if it's a dual outlet.and Stainless steel that connects to a k-27 ,although currently I am no longer allowed to spend any money until the car comes back from paint. it's been there since December

I'd be interested in a bracket solution. The muffler sounds good, too, but I was saving my home-made muffler project as a "learning to weld" introduction.

Normally Fabspeed. Unless it is something custom like a twin turbo build. Then all bets are off.

So what is your professional opinion of going with the Magnaflow versus Fabspeed?

Stephen,
What's your opinion on Magnaflow vs. Borla?

You know, I have never put the Magnaflow up against the Fabspeed nor the Borla units. So honestly I can't say 100 % what my opinion on them would be. I know the FS works well, the Borla when in the right configurations works well and have seen the magnaflow on some high HP cars. Beyond that I don't have any real HP data on the units..Sorry.

HP data aside...
What is your opinion of the build quality of each muffler?
It looks like to me that the Magnaflow has stamped end tanks (good in my book - increased regidity), while the Borla maybe made out of sheet steel. I'm trying to avoid any muffler built with the sheet steel approach "ala B&B..."
I want the gauge of the muffler to be thick enough that I can plink it with a light ball peen hammer and it won't dent and resonate like the B&B...

I think the Borla and MF are in the same league quality wise. They are similar. The only one that shines more than another is the FS, but it is more.

Understanding that you don't like posting prices Stephen... ball park what do the FS run? I would be looking for a single out (passenger side) with the matching WG pipe on the driver side.

It is a few hundred over what I could build a MF for if enough wanted to do it. If you want the exact price drop me a call or email. You are correct, I hate to throw pricing up here. Seems to cheapen the post from time to time.

fair enough... the ball park estimate is what I was looking for. I'll be dropping you a line.
