Dang! Mine are not that old (maybe 4 years and 7500 miles), but have mostly track miles on them. Looks like another part on order...

As I have learned, a particle the size of a single grain of sand can cause major damage to a turbine spinning at 125,000 rpms. Do youself a favor and junk the headers and get your turbo looked at.

By the end of the season, I wasn't getting full boost until like 5,000rpms, which actually makes me feel much better about my performances last year. Watch out D class!
Stephen @ ImagineAuto recommended the B&Bs over the GHLs for me. We'll see how they work!

After some back to back testing the B&B headers have a better collector than what is out there. Or at least that is not custom built. It uses a triangular design verses a flat design. The flat is what is causing our HFs to overshoot in addition to the angle and placement along with the size of wastegate pipe. Also any kind of brow in the collector to divert air will not help and only leak to the possibility of something coming out and headed through the turbo. It doesn’t take much to create FOD. Added back pressure of any type will promote the overshoot and the inability to lower boost levels.

I have also seen other types make less power especially on the EFI converts we are doing up over 400WHP.

In the long run we have found the best combo to be B&B headers and Fabspeed mufflers. We have seen some outstanding numbers both in the HP department and the least back pressure of most design.

Sure, 98% of the B&Bs we sell have exchangers on them. I try to talk most people into doing them in case they go to sell the car. People want heat even if they don't need it.

What about B&B and their famous cracking, lack of service and warranty?

I suppose it helps to go through Stephan here than through B&B directly or someone else.

They all crack when they see too much heat. All of them including the factory exhaust.

You are correct, that is why you allow us to get in the middle. We take care of the issues. Always have.

My B&B's needed to be repaired twice - one for a hole (inside the heat box - good thing the heat was not on....) and once for cracking at the wastegate / turbo flange intersection. Rather than dick with B&B, it was cheaper for me to pull the pipes off and have them welded by a local TIG welder for $20 (each time that is).

That episode prompted me to learn welding.

I would still use B&B over GHL just for the performance gain in mid to top end.

'Cmon Sonny -- fess up how much those inconnel headers were.

Regading B&B's, cracked twice at wastegate outlet also. plus if you have wastegate just hanging out there, that's a nice twising moment on that joint. went with dual wastegate lines to one from billet dsg to limit boost creap so that problem's gone.

Yep - good design. Did he provide an additional mounting point for your wastegate pipe to releive stress at the flange?
