Hello,

I have a Porsche 3LDZ turbo from the later 1977-89 930 that I had laying around in my garage. I was looking to put this turbo on one of my project cars. Now I have some questions about this turbo. Is there any gain in performance compared to my stock K24 turbo? Im guessing there would be a gain by looking at the size comparison, but what HP level is the 3LDZ capable of? 400??hp with proper modifications?

The 3LDZ is a larger turbocharger vs the K24, however if you have a newer generation K24 it will be more efficient. The 3LDZ will not give you 400HP, the problem with the stock 3LDZ housing is the lack of metal to machine in a larger compressor wheel.
