Default 930 wheels, questions and pics

Looks like I just purchased an '86 930 in great condition with the motor already built up just 3k ago. It appears that the only upgrade I will want/need will be some nice wheels for now?
Any other options besides the $$$Fiske, Kinesis? How often do the RUF wheels come up for sale or can you still get them? I searched the archives and they don't appear too often. Anyone have a nice set they are looking to sell? Any other interesting options? Post pics if you have them, especially on a black 930. I don't want to spend $5000 on a wheelset.
Thanks

You can buy new Rufs from the Dallas Autocentre. They priced on par with Fikse and HRE and are not denlocs. They even have a newer version with screw/bolt heads around the rim.

LA Dismantlers is parting an 89 930 with black Rufs right now.

Sorry everyone, looks like the 50-50 is already gone...

Searching under wheels says they are sold. I am wondering if there is a thread somewhere with lots of pics of 930's. Those mentioned are the wheels that I know of. I'm sure there are some more options. Although I love the RUF.

The ruf wheels look great, but I've heard they're heavier than man-hole covers! I like the BBS LMs.

I have heard that the new reincarnated Ruf wheels are made by Avus and weigh 22lbs. Not light , but better. I think they are $2995 a set.

I almost traded my Speedster for that 930 they're now parting out back in the fall of 1997. Green car with black RUf's in LA. Sorry to see it looking like that it was really nice at one time.

A set of Kinesis K57's are only around $3,000 and have a similar appearance to the 17" Ruf 5 spoke. The Kinesis is forged, while the Ruf wheel is cast. Forged is better.

I'd recommend researching and mearsuring everything before buying. There are many tire and wheel sizes that will fit you're car and many reasons why or why not to get them.

Thanks, John. It's the ride height and the camber. I think lowering these cars with additional negative camber makes them look very menacing.
