Have one in my garage ready to install. Waiting for time to do it. I'd also like to know what difference people have noticed.

Thanks
Kirk

I installed one in the race car. No empirical data, but it felt stronger from 3k on up. I did notice that boost stayed up better at part throttle. The old K27-7006 seemed to be at 1bar or nothing. The HFS would hold steady at 0.7 or 0.8 at less than WOT. I installed a brand new Tial WG at the sametime. I suppose that contributed, also.

I'm happy.

I've been driving around w/ the HFS for about 6 days now. I live in the DC Area & I drove out to ImagineAuto in order to have Stephen, Ben & crew personally "bless" my 930.

After installing the HFS, TIAL WG, Euro fuel mod & Kok i/c, I had roughly 1,100 miles to experience the differences. The newly installed turbo unit spools about 1k rpm soonerat 3k rpm and makes power in a more linear fashion all the way to redline instead of losing steam. The manner in which this turbo makes power is very deceiving. Once it's spooling, you may think to yourself, "where is all the power?" Just wait. Staying in the throttle for about a blink and it feels like something is just "pushing" you in your back and the faster you go, the more of the "push" feel you get. That was perfect for those Missouri straights that seems to go on forever.

I really like this unit as an option to my previous K27. I have now been sucked in and ready to get even more power via IA's EFI kit and an even bigger turbo.

The Hyflow is capable of dishing out 504ft lbs of torque at 3000RPM.

Out of curiosity how much does the turbo go for?

I'm waiting for mine from Kevin & Stephen. It's going on an 86 Ruf car. Will share results when installed.

Plan to upgrade wastegate, BOV and exhaust later after I get through emissions...

The HF-S is 1595.00.

Nothing is even close to the same design. As many mention, it spools sooner and has a more liner power delivery. Honestly it is the best of all the worlds.

Which HF would be best for those who want to retain CIS as the HF2 exceeds the limitations of the CIS.

How much different is the HF S vs the earlier HF that I purchased a year and a half ago? I find the power and delivery to be much better than the stock K27, is the S that much better?

The "S" does have some nice features.. Boost tap bosses, 3" inlet with velocity stack.. The primary difference is a tighter A/R on the compressor housing. Thus it will spool up quicker... and have better throttle response. Selling your unit and upgrading? I don't think so..

I am rather happy with the unit I have. I don't see the value in going through the effort of upgrading. Throttle response is pretty damn good compared to stock already. Was just curious.

Kevin,
Thanks. Does the HF "S" cause overboost?
