Default Any experience with shox.com?

Good or bad? They seem to have competitive prices.

I have John. The very first set of shocks I bought for my turbo came from them. I went with HD's all around and the price was the best however I was dismayed that they didn't come with new top nuts(others confirmed a similar problem) and of course one of my old nuts stripped on installation. Try finding a 14mm 1.5 lock nut at 7pm on a Sunday even here in SoCal Anyway, in hind sight my problem is that they spec the same shocks for 911 and 930 despite the potential difference in stock suspension and weight. In my case a bit more pronounced being a G50/50 Cab. Of course PET shows a different part# for 911 and 930 and I'd like to think there is some valving difference. Have you changed your mind on custom valved?

Mike, my car will be street only so I'll probably stay stock unless there is a compelling reason not to. Bilstein's site shows the same HDs for 911 and 930 for 1989, as does shox.com. I'm also talking with Steve Weiner. I'm sure he won't be as cheap as shox.com but will probably be a no problem supplier as well, avoiding the situation you had. I agree with you, it would seem there is enough difference in the cars to make a shock difference. Were you disappointed in how your shocks felt?

I also took a look to check out the install situation. Undecided on doing it myself at this time. It is just hot as heck here in Dallas right now, over 100. Plus, I'm OK with unbolting things but I hesitate when a hammer is involved. An experienced tech with a left and the right tools seems the right way to go.
