Default 86 930 Fuel Pressures

All -

Anyone have access to the Pres./Temp maps for the CIS K-Jetronic on an 86 930? I'm trying to track down a very annoying intermittent hot start problem and I'm finding conflicting info as to what the system, cold, and warm control pressures should be for the CIS K-Jet in the 930. I already have the CIS gauges hooked up between the WUR and the fuel dizzy, now I just need the reference values. If you can't post a scan of the map but you happen to have a good idea of the values, my ambient temp is around 65F. Charles Probst's book is on the way, but I would like to have the specific values published by Porsche for this year/model, if possible. Thanks for any assistance.

John,
Not sure which engine you have. I looked at my factory manual for the 930/68 engine ("since 1986) with the following data (WUR = 930.606.105.06/Bosch # 0438140153):

- System pressure: 6.7-7.4 Bar
- Cold control pressure:
- "Without charging pressure" = 1.4-1.8 bar at 10C; 2.0-2.4 bar at 20C; 2.3-2.7 bar at 25C
- "With charging pressure" = 0.9-1.3 bar at 10C; 1.5-1.9 bar at 20C; 1.8-2.2 bar at 25C

- Warm control pressure: 3.75 +/- 0.2 bar
- Full throttle enrichment: 2.9 +/- 0.2 bar

Leak test: min. pressure after 10 min = 1.6 bar; min pressure after 20 min. = 1.4 bar

Hope this helps. I also have data for engine 930/66.

Mike -

Thanks for the specs. I'm not sure of my WUR P/N, but I'm sure that the two are very close in pressure specs, so that should allow me to have a better idea as to whether I'm in the correct area of the ballpark after I compile the average of all my pressure data over the next week. I'll have it apart again this coming weekend and verify the exact WUR P/N. Its looking like I have either an injector leak, or a vacuum problem since the warm pressure (58psi), cold residual (22 psi) and post 10 min/20min residuals are looking good 48psi/32psi respectively). If I need data for the other engine/WUR I'll bump the post. Thanks again......
