Default torsion bars

What, if any, torsion bars have you guys upgraded to? I am looking for a set for my dual purpose 930 and am clueless as to what size and what make.

Thanks

I'm using Sanders engineering gun drilled tubular torsion bars (front 22mm, rear 30mm) and they are great workmanship, quality and the ride feels more firm.

Sanders is one of the best. Most will tell you 22 and either 29 or 30 will be best. It really depends on how much track are you gonna do, what kinds of wheels and tires you have and what type of shocks you have. I actually have 21 and 28 as I was looking for a softer ride, but in retrospect I should have done 22 and 29. If cost is a concern the hollow bars are really not worth the extra money. You will never feel the difference. I would talk to some suspension experts as they would know a better match for your purposes and car set up. Try www.smartracingproducts.com

I started with 23/31 sway away brand and finally went to 33s in the rear which were Sandler engineering. I have to say that I can't tell the difference between the two brands. If I were to do it again, I would choose 22mm for the front. My car is a mostly track car so it rides stiff on the street (I like it). You'll want to have your shocks revalved for the torsion bars and buy matching sways as well.

www.smartracingproducts.com is a good place to start your research.
I myself have 23/31mm front/rear Sander hollow torsion bars.
But your choice of sizes is subjective and depends utimately on the way you are going to drive your 930 in combination with shock absorber choice and sway bar choice.

So it is really sounding like it is a three part upgrade: 1) torsion bars 2) shocks 3) sways.

What would happen if I only did Torsion bars and left the rest stock?

Not much bad only all good. IMO I would start here as 22 and 29, the 88 sway bars are pretty large and you won't really need an upgrade unless you are doing some serious tracking. The stock shocks are bilstein HD and are good so you only will really need to upgrade the valving if you are putting in some thick torsion bars.

22/30 with revalved Bilsteins all from Smartracing. Also bushings, bump steer kit, spring plates, etc...

I bought the Kokeln sways when I should have got the Smartracing bars. The Kokelns keep breaking and nearly cost me the car once... Moral: Don't try to save money with a 930.

I'm using Sanders 22/33 with Smart Racing revalved shocks, monoballs all around but stock sways (ok - considering changes now).
The car is mainly a track only car so its stiff but livable. I'm actually surprised about the relatively neutral behaviour of the car with this set up on track.
