Hi guys,
couldn't resist to post this link to the ultimate turbo beast for auction at the moment.
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
If I look at this monster (800 HP/800NM) my impression was:
wow - new engine every 5000Km, but according to the owner this combo has been working for the last 12 years and more than 300.000.- !! Euro has been invested in the car.
So have a look and enjoy.
Regards
Stefan

@A930Rocket,
I think this car is more flying than driving on the street :-).
This might explain why the driver is not very focussed on a spare tire.
@Sameer,
this is the company that is responsible for the complete engine conversion (Schmirler is well known here in Germany for his racing expertise)

I saw this car in Puerto Banus about 4 years ago and had a good look round it. It has absolutely everything on it, with all carbon body parts - someone really blew their brains out building it. Check out the performance 0-300kph in 16.9 seconds thats twice as fast as a Carrea GT

Wao!
Curious as to what is that intercooler, TB any idea? Does not seem like a Secan.
Disappointed in the 0-60, even though it is not the objective of this car, it should be in the 3 sec. flat.
A real animal!
Stefan , thaks for sharing.

These were the engines RS were doing in the late '80s, early '90s with a Sytel (french electronics company) motronics package, the I/Cs were made in-house and the engines were rated at 750hp. I have no idea how they actually drove in the lower revs, the poor 0-60 makes me think they were pretty crap like the Ruf CTR of the time (believe me below 3000 rpm that car was horrid compared to modern post '95 turbos). I have along article out of a Flat Six magazine (French) on the RS motors of this period, if anyone is interested and can translate accurately I may scan and post it

I will translate it, or the most interesting parts at least if it is too long. You have to start charging me for these articles, ever thought of putting them on a CD
?.
Interesting to see that RS actually uses anything other than the Secan for such a high output car, knowing that they preach no other I/C will take you beyond 600 hp. I wonder what core they are using.
Can't wait to read that article.
Thanks TB!
