It's true Don lost low end and 1 5/8" would be better but what about the dump pipe to the wastegate? In theory it would seem this config. would do the trick (at least that is what Don says) and I don't understand why the other headers aren't the same?

B&B and GHL are the inexpensive options? I am sooo in the wrong hobby... I thought parts for my 928 were expensive! While performance enhancments and neat sounds are great, I am mainly interested in getting heat out of my motor so it will last longer. If anyone has a used set of headers for my '77 930, for a decent price, please email me at thurman.hill@navy.mil. I have been looking at the catalogs and I am confused about one thing (well several things, but one in particular). Will headers made for a 3.3 fit my 3.0? It is a US model with thermal reactors.

Yes they will fit. In fact if you are stock there is a set of 1 1/2 aviable as well. If you are planning to do some mods then 1 5/8 will be what you want. They all will bolt up though.

Blaine and Brent,

are those headers pictured also available with heater boxes? Also who are they manufactured by and what is their cost?

Thanks and best regards
