Default Is this boost reading normal?

I'm looking at this same 85 930 w/ 53K on it. Seller sent in some pics, but look at the boost gauge...it peaked over 1.5. Is this a malfunctioning gauge? Or is this one really hopped up.

Also, these don't look like stock IC. He says they are Andial or something like that. Any clues? It looks like it's missing the rubber seal?

Thanks.

Depending on where the gauge was plummed into, the telltale boost gauge will spike to what you see in the picture. That is normal. If you drive the car and see the boost at normal levels, then I think you'd be fine. I rather doubt that the car ran for any length of time at 1.6bar of boost.

The intercooler looks like a Garretson intercooler.

Yeah, ask the guy where the gauge is plumbed at. If before the throttle plate then it's OK, if after then look out. Before the throttle plate will show a spike when your off throttle but not afterwards.

There is a "real" boost gauge where the clock typically is. Does this one work? The one on the tach might be disconnected.

Default miNE BOTH WORK

I also added the larger secondary boost gauge, but my mechanic has them both running...
