How would you describe this ?
My 1987 930 3.4 RUF twinplug conversion is now in the UK, having been based in California for most of it's life.
Over the past 12 months we have been removing some of the US spec parts of the car, and replacing them with Euro spec equivalents.
I attach a photo of the metering head, and ancillary parts, that we have now replaced with a Euro version. I will put this onto the market place section of Rennlist as I think that there will be a bigger audience for it. Please can someone let me know how to describe the parts shown in the photo so that I can get the description correct for my advert?

but it basically the car is with a well known UK Porsche race engine builder. He’s suggesting replacing all of the US spec equipment, so he’s been scouring his contacts for Euro spec alternatives.
I paid $2,010 for the Euro equivalent to the items shown in the photo. I should get the car back next week.

There have been partial differences between US and ROW, but as far as I know they were limited to the WUR specs. But I dont know which components Ruf used on their 3.4 930.
The replacement of these parts is not really plausible, because all this is not nearly available for 2k. The WUR alone is 1.2k as an exchange part, and the fuel distributor is much more expensive.
Except for the intake manifold, all parts have a Bosch part no on it. If I wanted to sell the parts I would clean everything carefully and include the Bosch part no.

I was not aware of the 'larger manifold' difference with the ROW and US spec cars... would be curious where that info comes from. Parts diagrams don't indicate that and other components would have to be different to fit with the larger manifold so there would be other differences. The differences I am aware of are; larger intercooler, WUR configuration (fuel / air mixture), no catalytic converters (thermal reactors), no air pump system, more open exhaust, front mount oil cooler, no AAV (Aux Air Valve), lower suspension adjustment, amber tail lights, rear fog light, fender side markers, smaller rear bumperettes on ROW / Euro spec cars. Mostly emissions related (especially for the CA models which were a specific spec within the US). Pretty easy to convert to Euro spec from US with some minor bolt-on changes (note - CA may not pass emissions), which most US cars have had done through the years because the cars run cooler with more power and less weight. I'm not sure the $2k 'conversion' to Euro spec / UK spec gets you to the place you want to be and curious - you list 'RUF' in the description of the car. Is it a RUF build? What RUF components?

I attach a photo of the 'euro' parts that I bought for $2,010 least year through a contact of the mechanic. Maybe I picked up a bargain. Let's see if the eagle eyed amount us can spot the visual difference!
Either way, I'm looking forward to getting the car back and I will be selling the 'US' spec parts (either individually or as a job lot) on this site shortly. I will have them all cleaned first. they were is great working order when removed.

It is not a W09 Vin.
It's a US supplied 1987 930 with a 3.4 BTR conversion carried out by RUF authorised supplier Exclusive Motorcars Inc. of Upper Montclair NJ in 1989 at a cost back then of $22,139. Fortunately I have the history with the car. I wonder what this conversion would cost in 2022?
