1987 RUF 911 Turbo valve clearance
Hi everybody. Restoring a 1987 3,4 RUF 911 Turbo and set the valve clearance to 0,10mm in order to do the Cam Timing which was done as per a normal 911 Turbo of this era setting the Intake Valve Stroke between 0,65-0,80mm as the workshop Manual says for the 930 turbo. After doing it the car does not run properly.
Does anyone know the right clearance values for the valves and when doing the Cam Timing the Intake Valve Stroke value for this engine? The pistons (which are flat) and camshafts do look somewhat different from what you can find in 930 turbos
I have found a sticker from RUF in internet that shows 0,1mm intake and 0,15mm exhaust but wanted to confirm before trying again.

I think the question is not what valve clearance Ruf used on the intake side. With a relatively high degree of certainty, this will also be 0.1 mm. The question is rather how many mm of intake valve stroke to set, because Ruf probably deviates from the factory setting there. I would simply try it at Ruf itself and ask there.
Otherwise, I think that the engine has a different problem, because it has to run reasonably even with the factory setting of the timing. Maybe the last 5 Hp will be missing but running not properly should have other reasons.
