Default Autoheat defrost fan function questions

Hi guys, I am struggling with a autoheat problem here, and need some help.
As far as I understand the schematics do the late 930 models not have the engine bay mounted ventilation fan, nor the extra engine bay additional "heater control unit" found in NA models.
The 930 schematic shows that the footwell fans gets their +12V supply through a switch in the autoheat mechanism which cuts off the fans if the servo arm reaches the max end position. In normal regulation operation, the arm does not move to the extreme position.
The footwell fans runs in three speeds, low (setting 0-8) medium, (9) and full speed. (Max/Defrost position)
The schematic also show that in cars without the engine bay control unit, the fan full speed relay coil ("Additional fan relay") also gets its +12V supply through the servo end position switch.
Therefore, when turning the dial to max (Defrost), the fans will start to run on full speed, and the servo arm starts moving towards full open position. When end position is reached after a few seconds, the fans will turn off. (!) This cannot be the desired functionality.

Could some of you 930 owners please shed some light over this topic:
Do the footwell fans run on full speed when the temp **** is set to Defrost, and do not stop after a few seconds?
Does the autoheat servo arm travel to max open position when temp **** is set to Defrost?

Thanks in advance,
Tore
