Default Behind the scenes of our 930 Slantnose - Fabspeed Motorsport

One of our favorite project cars is our 930 Turbo. It's a raw ride that we all appreciate and when the turbo spools you can't help but smile!

After giving her some TLC we decided to strap her to our Dynojet and get some refreshed numbers!

You can read about the origin story and mod/development path in the November 2015 issue of Excellence Magazine. Viewable in PDF format here.

Our most recent update was the addition of a freshly rebuilt K27 turbo (with updated internals) and a new Fabspeed Zork tube.

You can see all the components that we used in the build here.

What was the horsepower increase with the above additions?

The above package picked up 65+ WHP, truly a massive improvement for the age of these cars. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to get K27 Turbo's but our friends at Evergreen have been able to rebuild a few back to factory spec.

So 65 HP from k27, bigger intercooler, headers and free flow exhaust?

I have the same exact setup on my 88 Slantnose with the stock turbo and intercooler. What an amazing setup. A bit loud for my wife's liking though
