Change to a Euro Turbo Muffler
Hi All,
Hope you are all well.
I have an '89 cab and I would like to change from the cat/muffler combination to a Euro muffler. Can anyone tell me what years will fit my '89? I have been thinking about aftermarket but wanted to consider my options for a used Euro muffler also. Thanks for any help you can provide.

It should fit, but you can get a new aftermarket like a GHL and have an even better muffler. Going with a full GHL system will save you 50-60 lbs and make your car scoot even better.
Look for used one as well. There always seems to be some for sale.

I have a extra euro single pipe and dual pipe muffler. The earlier one through 1981 are different. On those the wastegate outlet is piped into the muffler as well. The 1982 and up euro 930's have a seperate short little muffler for the wastegate.

Just another thought. On my 89, I dropped the cat and substituted a bypass pipe, using the stock muffler. I also have GHL headers. This set up gives better flow, sounds a bit throatier, but leaves the stock muffler. I may go to a dual outlet eventually, but for now no need to rework the rear valence.
