Default Selling my 930

It took me forever to post photos on www.911turbo.com so I think I'll just refer you to its classifieds section. Anyway, the car's for sale (can you tell from my enthusiasm I am being forced to sell the car due to my impending nuptials?). Take a look. I'll answer any questions you might have.

Jeez. I really am trying to avoid having to sell it. Mine is the 85. Sorry.

Bummer, Can't you convince the lady that the 930 might well be the cornerstone of your's financial future? Damn lousy timing though, I'm very much interested in a 930, as stock as possible, but lacking cash. Good luck.

Once you "give in" to the other half, you have started down the long road to misery. Guys need their toys. I guarantee you will regret selling it. My wife did the same thing to me. Then she realized WE were much happier if I could have a few toys. We did compromise: I could keep the cars, but I had to sell the motorcycles (too dangerous). The key is compromise.

I already regret selling it. But, she has promised I can get another in the future. Famous last words?

Oh my..

I must be lucky. We bought our 911 Turbo right after we got married. Does that bode well for the future???

I questioned selling mine just over a year ago. The wife was complaining how much was tied up in it, nobody used except me and it wasn't family oriented.

Well, I thought I would sell it, get the family some dirt bikes and we would all have something in common. I bought the bikes. After 9 months, the kids were bored with them and the wife only rode hers one time...

I sold them all just before Christmas.

Thank God I didn't sell the car.

I know that if I sold it and "got another one later", I'd only be fooling myself. Something will always come up preventing me from getting it, i.e kids, college, house, etc.

Do your best to hold onto it NOW. Good luck.

She actually loves the car. I wish I had a more respectable explanation for why I am selling it, but, it's pretty much because she has insisted on it so that we can be assured of eating regularly. I, on the other hand, am willing to forego meals in order to drive a fine European sports car.

I had a 911 when we got married and sold it to put a down
payment on our first house. Bought a vette and sold it when my wife
became pregnant(2 seater).
After the baby was born we were looking for a station wagon!!
We were standing there looking at an Audi 5000 wagon next to it
sat a 944, the salesman chuckled and said I bet you would rather
be looking at this 944. My WIFE said yes he would, and pointed to
a 930 sitting down the line but that is what he would REALLY want.
She then said if you want that car buy it I can make my car last
a few more years.
Well I did buy the car and have enjoyed it for the past 17 years.
The point here is if you chose wisely your wife will remember
your sacrifice!!!
BTW my car is for sale now also, I am going to upgrade.
Good Luck.
