911919,
Wanted to shave it off but it's the joint of the cars where the reinfircements are, something like that. What Ruf Germany does is shave it off and strengthen the roof by putting in something. Ruf Singapore does not have the equipment or experience in doing this kinda work so I rather not touch it.
Brandon,
It took my mechanics about a week to put it in. It's a 964 style dash.

Enjoy the ride. The workmanship looks top notch and the color is superb.

The 930 Porsche takes me back to my childhood; it was the poster on the wall, the model on the shelf. The 930 with its bulging fenders, its hide nothing tale and tires that challenge the earth to hold on to the pavement still holds me in a trance 20 years later.
Here I am looking through all these wonderful examples and find myself wondering if I can really be getting close to ownership of a dream. It would mean sacrifice today for a payoff tomorrow; I would have to live without a “fun” car for a while to build cash up for the purchase. Could I do that, if only I had all that money spent over the years on other cars…
So many questions, can I really afford ownership, foolishly having chosen to design cars this offers little in the way of income potential. But still, I am close, closer than I have ever been. Bills are getting lower, nearly gone. I will have no car payments in 2 years, no credit debt, my income looks better now. Could I really do this, don’t you have to be rich to have a 930… I might be able to pull this off.
Seeing all these wonderful cars has seemed to solidify my focus, something I often lack in terms of my search for automotive bliss. I could do this, it may take a little time with out a toy, but I could realize my childhood automotive dream.
Thanks for letting me ramble in our thread I just wanted to share my thinking out loud. And say thanks for posting up such wonderful examples of fine craftsmanship. I look forward to posting up my 930 in the not so distant future.
Thanks,
Chris
